GCI had just nine weeks to complete the offices for The Climate Corporation, a San Francisco-based technology company that examines weather data to help farmers improve crop productivity and protect their profits. Yet the quick turnaround did not prevent us from creating a one-of-a-kind workspace! The reception area features a huge projection globe reflecting real-time weather patterns around the world while the wallpaper in the small meeting rooms consists of pages from old science books (hand selected by the design team). The warm tones of reclaimed wood cladding in the open areas complete this extraordinary work environment.
This fast-track schedule required a high degree of collaboration between GCI, the architect (Studio O+A), and the Climate Corporation. Our project team convened daily coordination meetings to ensure quick decisions were made without impacting the completion date.
