DETAILS
YouTube is the leading website in video-sharing. Freedom of expression, information, opportunity, and the freedom to belong is at the root of everything they do. Their mission is to give everyone a voice and show them the world—and they do. With 300 hours of video being uploaded every minute and 6 billion hours of video watched every month, it’s no wonder why more than 1 billion people around the globe visit their site.
GCI worked with Jensen Architects to deliver this $48 million addition to their growing campus. A stunning continuous media wall spans across three floors, streaming content throughout each work day. The addition of a bridge and stairs across a 50-foot atrium connects two previously independent buildings, allowing users to wander throughout the 120,000 square foot space without utilizing the elevator banks. A full-service café sits on the ground floor, while a self-service kitchen can be found on every floor. Showers, meditation rooms, a library, quiet room, and game room complete with a ping pong table and gaming consoles ensure their staff has no shortage of amenities. A new MEP system, boiler plant, and service upgrades were also included.
