This biotech client came to GCI when they needed a new cafeteria and entertainment space on campus to serve their thousands of employees. The ground-up project presented numerous challenges – including a tight schedule and complex logistics – but GCI rose to the challenge, working closely across teams to quickly solve issues as they arose.

The project involved modular construction of premanufactured elements, which made logistics and scheduling even more complicated. Parts of the building, like the back-of-house kitchen, were actually constructed in Indiana!

The final product is a stunning, airy space complete with retractable glass walls and an outdoor recreation area. Employees can now go to the space to dine, relax, and play basketball or mini golf – all with breathtaking views of the Bay.
