DETAILS

For their relocation to San Francisco, the Environmental Defense Fund selected GCI to construct their new offices at 123 Mission Street based on GCI’s unmatched leadership in LEED-CI construction projects. Daylighting controls along with full-height modular glass partitions maximize natural light and views for all employees. In addition, the lighting design resulted in a 25 percent energy reduction under ASHRAE standards. Of the existing ceiling tile and grid, 75 percent was reused and reworked into geometric patterns. Superior indoor air quality was achieved during construction and prior to occupancy through the removal of several exterior high-rise windows.
